LHH is partnering with a well-established
Chicago law firm to add an
Entry-Level Family Law Paralegal to its growing practice. This is a
newly created role as part of a strategic headcount expansion-not a replacement position.
This opportunity is ideal for a paralegal with
foundational family law experience who enjoys working with
financial documentation and analysis and is seeking long-term stability within a sophisticated family law practice.
The Opportunity
You'll support attorneys on complex family law matters with a
strong focus on financial discovery and financial analysis. While exposure to higher-net-worth divorces is a plus, it is
not required. The firm is open to continued training and development for someone who brings the right fundamentals and mindset.
This is a
true paralegal role-not a hybrid administrative position-with
billable work and reasonable expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with financial discovery, including organizing, reviewing, and analyzing financial records
- Review income, assets, liabilities, and expense documentation
- Prepare financial schedules, summaries, and exhibits
- Support attorneys on financial aspects of divorce and family law matters
- Track deadlines and support cases from start through resolution
- Communicate with clients and third parties as appropriate
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate
- 2+ years of family law paralegal experience required
- Comfort working with numbers, spreadsheets, and financial documentation
- High-net-worth family law exposure a plus, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Interest in long-term stability and professional growth
- Preference for fewer years of experience to balance a senior-heavy paralegal team
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000-$90,000, depending on experience and qualifications
