Job Description
We are seeking a Personal Injury Associate Attorney with at least 1+ year of experience (litigation preferred) to join our West Hollywood office. This is a great opportunity for an attorney who wants hands-on experience, real case ownership, and a clear path for advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload from intake through settlement or trial.
- Interview and evaluate potential clients to determine case viability.
- Develop legal strategies, including identifying claims and defenses.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Conduct discovery (interrogatories, requests for production, depositions)
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
- Represent clients in mediations, hearings, and court proceedings.
- Collaborate with case managers and legal staff to move cases efficiently.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure deadlines are met.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of personal injury experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar license (required)
- Litigation experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of California civil procedures
- Excellent research, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working both independently and within a team
