We are seeking an experienced Settlement Manager to join our growing team. This is an on-site position based in Los Angeles, CA 90048 and is ideal for a proactive, solutions-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional client service while helping drive favorable case outcomes.
The Settlement Manager serves as a key liaison between clients, attorneys, paralegals, and other stakeholders throughout the settlement process. Reporting to the Director of Settlements, this position is responsible for managing settlement-related activities, maintaining strong client relationships, supporting legal strategy, and ensuring efficient case progression from negotiation through resolution.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, paralegals, attorneys, and other parties throughout the settlement process
- Maintain regular communication with clients and provide case updates as needed
- Review repair histories and evaluate factors impacting the merits and value of cases
- Prepare clients and case files for mediation and settlement negotiations
- Calculate vehicle buybacks and assist with settlement evaluations
- Collect, organize, and review required financial and supporting documentation
- Present settlement offers and settlement agreements to clients
- Work closely with attorneys and legal staff to address complex or non-standard case issues
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure data integrity within firm systems
- Provide translations and language support to attorneys and clients when applicable
- Respond to client inquiries through phone, email, text message, and other communication channels supported by the firm
- Develop, implement, and support settlement-related legal efforts and initiatives
- Provide feedback regarding case progress, settlement opportunities, and operational improvements
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and overall efficiency within the settlements department
- Promote a positive team culture while supporting the firm's mission, values, and commitment to client service
- Prioritize workload effectively while managing multiple active cases and deadlines
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in settlements, legal case management, customer service, sales, or a client-facing role
- Previous law firm experience required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Strong understanding of client relationship management and settlement negotiations
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a solutions-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Experience with Filevine, HubSpot, Aloware, PandaDoc, or similar case management and CRM platforms preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information
- Ability to commute to Los Angeles, CA 9004
