Immediate opening for legal assistant or paralegal. Duties include providing support to our attorneys and senior paralegals preparing and filing documents, gathering documents from clients, and answering client questions . Our goals are to provide excellent service for our clients, and to build relationships with our community and coworkers. The ideal candidate is tech savvy, flexible, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a team environment. The position requires the ability to learn quickly, problem-solve, and work well independently to assist with all aspects of the firm’s work. The ideal candidate has:
- Experience in an office setting
- Experience using MS Word and Google calendar
- A Professional appearance and demeanor with outstanding customer service skills
- Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
- Capability of writing professional letters and correspondence
- Ability to proofread materials and have excellent command of grammar, vocabulary, spelling and usage
- A Friendly, outgoing, positive attitude with clients and co-workers
- Ability to type at least 40 wpm
- Excellent time management skills and work ethic
- The ability to win people over with good demeaner and people skills even in the face of challenging issues
Experience in an administrative setting is a must, preferably a law firm, but training will be provided. Preference will be given to an applicant with a college degree.
Typical office hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Flexibility within those hours and days will be considered: Full time 40 hours/ week
