LEGAL ASSISTANT

Sandoval Law PLLC is seeking a full time, experienced legal assistant to support up to two attorneys in civil and medical malpractice litigation. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional, team-oriented group. You will work closely with the attorneys and be a valued part of our litigation team.

This position is geared to a dedicated, detail oriented individual who is able to keep everything running smoothly on a day-to-day basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Prepare, revise and proofread legal documents, including pleadings and e-filings, with high accuracy;

· Calendar management, meeting coordination and travel arrangements, as necessary;

· Process new client/matter intakes, conflict checks and electronic file setup;

· Maintain attorney contacts, CLE tracking, and general administrative support;

· E-file in Superior Court, Court of Appeals, Arizona Supreme Court and Arizona District Court;

· Manage incoming calls; and

· Scan all incoming documents (we are a paperless firm).

DESIRED ABILITIES

· Minimum 3 years legal support experience with a focus on commercial litigation and medical malpractice (required);

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat;

· Typing speed of 60+ WPM;

· Strong communication and client interaction skills;

· Excellent grammar and proofreading skills with an emphasis on detail;

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; and

· E-filing experience (required).
