Pless Law Firm is looking for an experienced Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join our team! This position will provide organizational, administrative, and matter-specific assistance to attorneys in our Denver and Austin offices throughout all stages of commercial real estate and related transactions.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple active matters in a fast-paced boutique law firm environment. This role requires someone who can understand the details within a larger transaction context, anticipate next steps, and help keep matters moving efficiently with minimal supervision.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists with drafting, revising, managing and organizing various documents related to real estate transactions
Tracks, obtains and organizes transaction documents to assure performance of obligations
Provide support with legal research
Assists with tenant delinquency cases (file FEDs, drafting Complaints)
Ensures matter files and transaction details are completed to the extent possible (and regularly updated) in our matter tracking software
Manages Firm calendar, provides reminders to attorneys regarding upcoming deadlines and missing documents
Maintains timely and accurate timekeeping records
Assists with other Firm activities as needed, and performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Skills & Competencies:
Ability to communicate professionally and interact effectively with clients, vendors, and team members
Ability to be a proactive self-starter who understands the details within a much larger context
Excellent client service skills and ability to work on multiple matters simultaneously in an organized manner and under minimal supervision
Flexibility and able to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands
Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
Qualifications & Prior Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in commercial real estate, corporate transactions, or a boutique law firm environment.
Strong understanding of real estate transaction timelines, closing processes, title/survey review, and entity documentation.
Experience with Clio or similar legal practice management software preferred.
Strong drafting, proofreading, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage a high volume of active matters with minimal hand-holding.
Professional communication style with clients, attorneys, brokers, title companies, and opposing counsel.
Strong judgment, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Notary certification or willingness to obtain preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
Paralegal Certificate preferred
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9am - 5pm
Salary Range: $65,000-$95,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
