Position Overview
McIntyre Elder Law is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and professional Legal Assistant to join our growing team. This role supports attorneys and staff with litigation, probate, and other legal related tasks, client communications, document management, court filings, and case organization within a fast-paced law firm environment.
The ideal candidate is organized, professional, technology-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Legal Support
- Assist attorneys and staff with litigation, probate, and other legal related tasks
- Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, letters, and basic pleadings
- Organize and maintain electronic client files and records
- Manage calendars, deadlines, and case-related reminders
- Handle professional client communications via phone and email
- Assist with incoming calls, messages, and voicemail management
- Maintain accurate file organization and document tracking
- Attend weekday evening or Saturday morning educational seminar to provide support scheduling attendee consultations
Legal Software & Systems Management
- Utilize legal and office management platforms including:
- Clio Manage, Grow, and Draft
- Google Workspace
- RingCentral
- Elevate
- NC File and Serve
- North Carolina eCourts Portal
- Pitney Bowes
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor and attention to detail
- Ability to learn and navigate multiple software systems efficiently
- Strong time management and follow-through
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior administrative, legal assistant, or customer service experience
- Familiarity with Google Workspace or case management software
- Experience with legal document preparation or court filing systems
- Interest in litigation, probate, legal administration, or court procedures
- Experience working in a professional office environment

Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Additionally, attendance at one weekday evening or Saturday morning seminar per month.
