We are a 3-lawyer law firm located in Kenmore, NY, concentrating in

· Matrimonial and family law mediation and litigation;

· Social Security disability appeals;

· Plaintiff’s personal injury; and

· Estates.

We are looking for a full-time (or parttime) legal assistant to work in 1 or more of the above subject areas who:

JOB DUTIES:

Transcribing dictation of memos, agreements and pleadings;
Proofing and editing those documents;
Collecting and organizing financial data of clients and putting together financial affidavits;
Keeping files organized;
Coordinating with clients to schedule appointments;
Following up with clients on their submission of financial data;
Keeping clients current on their billing accounts;
Collecting medical information for Social Security and Personal Injury cases;
Helping put together pleadings reviewing deposition transcripts;
Assisting in answering phone and sometimes serving as receptionist.

REQUIRED: Must have a minimum of 3 recent years of full-time work as a legal assistant, legal secretary and/or paralegal in a law office.

Pay Range: $22-34/hour (depending upon experience and/or potential)
