Prominent divorce and family law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our growing Washington, DC-based practice. Fully remote position available.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who is organized, detail-oriented, efficient, motivated and able to manage workflow in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Our firm handles sophisticated divorce, custody, and support matters throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia. The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership of their work, communicates professionally, and works well independently while supporting a collaborative legal team.

Candidates may be asked to complete a short skills assessment as part of the hiring process

Responsibilities

Manage case calendars and litigation deadlines
Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and discovery materials
Prepare discovery document productions; maintain organized documents and files
Conduct legal research and case support
Assist with trial preparation, witness preparation, and trial notebooks
Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
Maintain accurate task management and document workflow
Support attorneys in contested divorce and custody matters

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of family law paralegal experience
Experience with divorce and custody litigation required
Strong organizational and file management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work efficiently and independently
Strong attention to detail and deadline management
Comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, document management systems, and legal workflow technology
Candidates must have a reliable remote work setup, including high-speed internet, a quiet professional workspace, and a fully functional desktop version of Microsoft Word.
