About the Role
The Ambeau Law Firm is growing and seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with a genuine interest in family law. You’ll draft sharp pleadings, manage multiple active matters with confidence, and appear in court under the guidance of experienced counsel.
- Draft motions, memoranda, discovery, and correspondence with crisp, persuasive writing.
- Handle hearings, status conferences, and client meetings (with mentorship and second-chair opportunities).
- Manage a busy docket and competing deadlines with poise and professionalism.
- Conduct legal research, develop case strategy, and maintain meticulous file management.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
What You Bring
- J.D. and Louisiana Bar admission (or pending/awaiting results with plan to sit in LA).
- Demonstrated interest in family law (clinics, internships, coursework, or practice experience).
- Exceptional legal writing and editing skills.
- Strong organization, time management, and follow-through across multiple matters.
- Team mindset, humility to learn, and confidence to take initiative.
Nice to Have
- Prior courtroom exposure (internships, clerkships, or 1–3 years’ practice).
- Experience with Louisiana Civil Code, Children’s Code, and local parish practice.

Location & Schedule
- On-site in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with in-parish travel as needed.
- Full-time, exempt.
