Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our legal team. This paralegal will assist attorneys in various aspects of family law cases, including divorce and child custody. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to conduct thorough legal research, and proficiency in document management systems. The Family Law Paralegal will play a crucial role in ensuring that all legal documents are prepared accurately and efficiently.
This position will also support our criminal defense attorney. The ideal candidate will also have experience in criminal defense.
Duties
- Assist attorneys with the preparation of legal documents related to family law cases, including petitions, motions, and agreements.
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Manage and organize case files using document management systems to ensure easy access to information.
- Review and summarize legal documents, contracts, and correspondence for attorney review.
- Maintain communication with clients regarding case updates and necessary documentation.
- Prepare trial binders and assist in trial preparation as needed.
- Ensure compliance with court rules and procedures throughout the litigation process.
- Provide administrative support within the law office, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of family law principles and practices.
- Proficient in legal research methodologies and tools.
- Experience with document management systems for efficient file organization.
- Excellent written communication skills for drafting documents and correspondence.
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
