Meagher & Geer, a nationally recognized litigation defense and insurance coverage law firm, is hiring a Litigation Paralegal for our Bismarck, ND office. This is a dynamic opportunity to join a collaborative team working on complex cases, particularly in medical malpractice defense.
Responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, and discovery materials
- Request, organize, and summarize medical and non-medical records
- Prepare deposition and trial materials, including subpoenas and exhibits
- Manage case files and deadlines across multiple matters
- Communicate with clients, experts, witnesses, and court personnel
- Support attorneys with trial prep, document production, and motion practice
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and Paralegal Certificate (ABA-accredited)
- 6+ years of litigation defense experience (medical malpractice preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems (e.g., iManage)
- Experience with time and billing software (e.g., Aderant)
- Medical background or experience reviewing medical records is a plus
- Ability to meet billable hour requirements and work overtime as needed
