Growing Melville personal injury law firm seeks a full-time paralegal with plaintiff-side personal injury experience, specifically handling municipal liability cases from intake through litigation and trial.

Key Responsibilities

Manage plaintiff personal injury cases from intake through trial
Handle municipal cases including:
Notice of Claim preparation and filing
§50-h hearings
Compliance with municipal deadlines and procedural requirements
Draft and manage:
Summons and Complaints
Bills of Particulars
Discovery demands and responses
Motions and court filings
Coordinate and track:
Court conferences (preliminary, compliance, settlement)
Depositions and trial preparation
Maintain organized case files and litigation calendars
Communicate with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel via phone, email, and text

Requirements

Plaintiff personal injury experience required
Demonstrated experience handling municipal liability cases end-to-end
Strong knowledge of New York State court procedures, filings, and deadlines
Experience with litigation support through trial
Excellent organizational and case management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

Familiarity with legal research tools (LexisNexis, Westlaw)
Experience in a high-volume plaintiff PI environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
