We are hiring an experienced family attorney who can hit the ground running and assist clients inside and outside the courtroom. We are a client-focused, goal-oriented firm. Client's goals and objectives are more important than our egos. If you enjoy navigating sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody and domestic violence, but also find business law and tax law interesting, we might be a great fit for you!

Compensation:

$100,000 - $180,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed
Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases
Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action
Keep client files properly organized and up to date
Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed

Qualifications:

Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations

Hard-working TEAM player responsible for all aspects of a client's case, including communicating with clients and other counsel, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing for and attending court hearings, settlement conferences, performing legal research, and preparing for and attending trials
DVRO & Trial Experience Required
Knowledge of CA Discovery Required
A California Bar License in good standing is required
High levels of self-esteem, empathy, and compassion
Ability to put clients at ease
Understanding how clients’ problems are more than legal problems to them
Exceptional communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Extremely comfortable with technology (and realizes that smartphones might be smarter than us)
