Position Summary:

The Paralegal provides legal and administrative support to attorneys by conducting research, preparing legal documents, organizing case files, and assisting with case management. This role ensures smooth legal operations and supports attorneys in delivering high-quality legal services.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, proofread, and organize legal documents such as motions, briefs, contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
Conduct legal research using online databases and compile findings for attorney review.
Maintain and organize case files, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and confidentiality.
Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness lists, and summaries.
Manage calendars, deadlines, court dates, and filing schedules.
File legal documents with courts or agencies (electronically or in person, depending on jurisdiction).
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, vendors, and opposing counsel.
Review and summarize documents such as medical records, depositions, discovery materials, and reports.
Support the coordination of discovery, including document collection, production, and tracking.
Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing case updates, and preparing billing summaries.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
2+ years of paralegal experience; experience in HR, corporate compliance, or preferred labor & employment law.
Strong understanding of HR compliance and employment law principles.
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR/legal platforms.
Excellent writing, editing, and research skills.
High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work ethically with sensitive information.

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
