Responsibilities

Assist attorneys in preparing for litigation by organizing case files, drafting legal documents, and managing deadlines using document management systems such as Mycase.
Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw and LexisNexis to support case strategies across diverse areas.
Review and analyze legal documents, contracts, and pleadings for accuracy and compliance; perform proofreading and transcription tasks as needed.
Manage case files electronically and physically, ensuring all documentation is properly filed, organized, and easily accessible for attorneys and staff.
Support project management efforts by coordinating interviews, client meetings, court filings, and document review processes efficiently.
Maintain effective communication with clients through professional phone etiquette; prepare summaries of case developments for attorney review.
Provide administrative support such as data entry, scheduling appointments, handling correspondence, and supporting the overall workflow of the law office.

Qualifications

Paralegal experience with a strong background in litigation support in personal injury.
Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with document management systems like Mycase.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents; keen proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy in all materials.
Experience with legal administrative tasks including filing (both electronic and paper), data entry, and document review.
Knowledge of project management principles within a law office setting; ability to coordinate interviews and client communications effectively.
Exceptional attention to detail combined with effective communication skills; professional phone etiquette is essential.
