Senior Associate Attorney – Insurance Defense

Location: Tampa, FL

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 (based on experience)

Hightower & Partners, an AV-rated insurance defense law firm, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our growing Tampa office. This is a full-time, in-office position. Candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload primarily focused on bodily injury defense, including auto negligence and general liability matters.
Handle all aspects of litigation: written discovery, depositions, hearings, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation.
Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and correspondence.
Represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial when applicable.
Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel.
Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with deadlines and billing requirements.

Qualifications:

4–5 years of experience handling Bodily Injury cases (required).
Active license to practice law in Florida and in good standing with the Florida Bar.
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Familiarity with law firm billing practices and time entry protocols.
Ability to work independently, manage a high-volume caseload, and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
