Law Clerk (3L)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our national labor and employment / workplace safety boutique law firm. This position is designed for a law student in their final year and offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys across multiple offices, including Washington, DC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Columbus, and Detroit.

Key Responsibilities

Assist attorneys with matters pending in federal and state courts, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings.
Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, and discovery materials under attorney supervision.
Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, including case development, discovery, motion practice, and trial or hearing preparation.
Assist with client counseling projects, compliance reviews, and risk assessment initiatives.
Collaborate with attorneys across offices on legal analysis, case strategy, and client-facing materials.
Participate in firm-sponsored trainings, meetings, and professional development programs.

Qualifications

Current J.D. candidate in good standing at an accredited law school in DC, in their final year of study.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and produce high-quality work.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Professional, collaborative, and detail-oriented approach to work.
Interest in pursuing a legal career in private practice following graduation.

This position offers compensation of $25 per hour, with scheduling limited to up to 15 hours per week.
