Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

Fairfax, Virginia | Hybrid Schedule Available

Our growing law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with 2–3 years of employment law experience to join our Fairfax, Virginia office. This position offers a hybrid work environment with both remote flexibility and in-office collaboration opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be licensed in Virginia or eligible for waiver into the Virginia Bar and preferably reside in Northern Virginia.

Responsibilities

Draft and respond to discovery requests and initial pleadings
Draft, argue, and respond to motions
Take and defend depositions
Conduct witness interviews and case investigations
Prepare Statements of Position for EEOC matters
Manage employment litigation matters from inception through resolution
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
Collaborate with attorneys and support staff in a fast-paced legal environment

Qualifications

2–3 years of employment litigation experience
Admitted to the Virginia Bar or eligible for waiver into the Virginia Bar
Experience handling employment law matters, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful termination claims
Strong drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills
Experience with EEOC proceedings strongly preferred
Significant labor and employment law experience preferred
Excellent academic credentials
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
